Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Wyoming County Criminal History does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent by email may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is not disclosed outside the operating team unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics records may capture technical details when a visitor loads a page:

Wyoming County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official custodians such as the Wyoming County clerks, local law-enforcement agencies, the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the West Virginia Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party criminal file or a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy terms, retention rules, and disclosure practices rather than this policy. Visitors should review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Wyoming County offices, West Virginia court and agency systems, or outside services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's own privacy policy governs activity there.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on provider systems and is subject to their controls.

Code §§29B-1-1 through 29B-1-7, governs requests to public bodies, not private website data. W. Va. Code §15-2-24 separately controls dissemination of state criminal-identification information.
